Bhairavi, literary means fearsome and terrifying and just like the meaning of her name she is the terrible manifestation of the Mother Goddess, so terrible that even the most frightening of Demons tremble on hearing her name. She is also seen in many other names and manifestation; all of them terrifying and most frightening. She is also symbolized by indestructible time from which none can escape as the feminine aspect of Bhairava.
